For yacht brokers

An independent diver for your brokerage.

If a listing needs a clean hull and good underwater video, or a buyer needs eyes below the waterline before closing, we're set up for broker timelines. Fast, documented, and — crucially — not working for either side of the deal.

Available across Victoria, Sidney, the Saanich Peninsula, Sooke, the Canadian Gulf Islands, and the Cowichan Valley. Up-island by arrangement.

What brokers get

Built for listing and deal-flow timelines.

HD video and a written report

Full footage of hull, keel, prop, rudder, running gear, through-hulls, and zincs. Written notes on condition, anomalies, and anything worth raising with the buyer or seller. Turnaround 24-48 hours.

Independent and third-party

We're not on either side of the deal — we document what's there. Buyer, seller, and broker all get the same file. Deals close cleaner when the underwater report isn't a negotiation.

Fits your schedule

We coordinate around marine surveys, sea trials, haul-outs, and closings. Dock access through you or the listing broker — buyer or seller doesn't need to be present.

Fully insured, WorkSafeBC registered

$2M commercial liability coverage and WorkSafeBC registered — operating to British Columbia's commercial diving standards. Certificate of insurance on request, same day, before any dock access.

Where it fits

Three moments in a transaction where a diver earns their fee.

01

Pre-listing hull clean

Clean hull plus video before the listing photos and dockside showings. Boats present better and listing copy can speak to underwater condition instead of hedging.

02

Buyer due diligence

Runs alongside the marine survey — the surveyor handles the overall condition report, we handle what's below the waterline. No haul-out required. Buyer sees what they're actually buying.

03

Pre-closing check

A short final dive the week of closing to confirm nothing has changed since inspection — marine growth, zinc wear, or fresh impact damage. Cheap insurance for a clean handover.

How it runs

A typical broker job, start to delivery.

Call or email with the boat's location, type, and timing. We confirm dock access with you or the listing broker directly — no need to coordinate buyer or seller attendance.

For pre-purchase work we schedule around the surveyor so you're not juggling two contractors on the same dock at the same time. If we find something significant, you get a phone call before the written report is delivered — so you have room to brief your client before anything changes a price or a deal.

Report and video go to whoever you specify. Buyer, seller, broker — same file, no edits, no loaded framing.

Pricing

By the job, on an hourly rate.

Priced by the job, not by the foot. Typical Victoria and Sidney inspections run $250-$500 depending on scope and time in the water; Gulf Islands callouts add travel. For regular broker work we can set a standing per-job rate so you know the number before the dive.

Open for broker work

Happy to start with a trial job.

A single listing, pre-purchase, or pre-closing check — so you can see the report quality and turnaround firsthand before committing to anything ongoing.
